I chose amendment 2, right to bear arms, because it allows state militias, like the National Guard, to bear arms or keep weapons, because if they weren’t able to, then that state would be getting invaded by other countries or states. It allows any state militia, or armed force, to bear arms or keep weapons to use to protect that state from any harm of danger, so a police officer is able to bear a weapon because of this right and without it, then a police officer or national guard wouldn’t be able to get rid anything that would be dangerous to that state.
I think this right is very important because if the military wasn’t able to have weapons then the war going on in Iraq would’ve been done with by now, but we would’ve lost that war and the U.S would be getting invaded and the government wouldn’t be able to do anything about it. So, this right is pretty much what un-harms us from any sort if danger.
One example that states on how the government protects this right is that they allow stores or shops to sell weapons to people to have some sort of protection from invasion.
